The chip and the memory
- Ryzen AI Max+ 395: 16 cores, Radeon 8060S, up to 128GB LPDDR5X shared memory, about 256 GB/s.
AMD specifications
- Up to 96GB of the 128GB can be allocated to graphics (Bosgame’s FAQ: “If the system memory is
128GB, a maximum of 96GB can be allocated”).
Bosgame store
Machines
- Bosgame M5: “Even under full load, the system remains comparatively cool and quiet”; cons include
“poorly adjustable fan speed”; 2 × USB4, Wi-Fi 7. The store lists two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots and a 2.5Gbps
LAN port. Notebookcheck
- GMKtec EVO-X2: “Fan noise proved louder than expected on this mini PC, with the fans becoming
audible across my living room while running our CPU benchmarks”; a P-mode button “switches between
three performance modes”; front USB4, two USB-A, SD card reader; 2.5 Gbps Ethernet; CPU/GPU and RAM
soldered; tricky interior access; 230W external power brick; one-year warranty.
Tom’s Hardware
- EVO-X2 power: GMKtec lists the chip as stable at 120W with peaks up to 140W.
GMKtec
- Framework Desktop: 5Gbit Ethernet (Realtek RTL8126), 1 year limited warranty, Noctua NF-A12x25 fan
option. Framework specs
- Framework Desktop noise, 128GB unit: with all fans forced to 99-100% “there was a persistent and
clear noise … but still not as loud as larger desktops. It was quiet enough to still work in a
typical office/desktop environment”. Phoronix

- HP Z2 Mini G1a (128GB), Ollama: 70B model 4.24 tokens/s, 32B 9.38 tokens/s (the article names
sizes, not model families); gpt-oss-120b “close to 40 tokens/sec”.

Corrected before recording
The supplied script was checked against these pages before the voice was recorded, and four lines
changed:
- A Bosgame “seven day return window” was removed: Bosgame’s policy is 30-day returns, with 7 days only
for units dead on arrival.
- “Gemma 3 70B” became “a seventy billion model”: StorageReview names sizes only, and Gemma 3 has no
70B.
- Framework’s per-GB figure is $26.95 ($3,449 / 128), not $26.90.
- “HP’s store page has no usable price” was removed: it lists the 128GB/4TB at $5,999.
Not checked
- Bosgame’s “120W steady, 140W peak” power limits are the narration’s comparison; GMKtec’s own figures
are sourced above, Bosgame’s were not read on its page.
- Framework’s $3,449 and $135 were read on a configurator that redirects this machine to its UK store
(same figures in pounds); the $3,449 US price is confirmed by press reports, the $135 is not.
- The visorcraft log is one contributor’s setup; newer drivers and runtimes may change those rates.
